To Each His Own - Murder Me Mickey

Devastation sweeps through with chemical reaction
Released in euphoric tenderness.
The quixotic notion of joy through heartache and abuse
Is swallowed with every last drop.

Contentment holds a heavy price,
And so many are willing to lay it on the line.
Those who have strength to endure hurt again and again do just that.
Like the glowing outline of a door in a dark hallway, it beckons and
I wait by the door all day long, but the ghost just laughs and says,
"You'll never see the shadow of my forgotten past again."
My heart burns out, nothing is left, but my short breath.
My eyes broke away and tried another way but melted into your skies.
Every breath you take, you stole from me.
And if we are both broken,
The pieces will have to fit.
Take these flames of conjecture and burn out brightly.
As nights bleed into days, don't be afraid to let your guard down.
These lives are ours to take. Don't let mistakes steal what's ours now.

If you aren't scared to die; we can live forever.
Because I'm not scared to live; we can die together.
